NEW NOTE CARDS

Note cards by Donna Miller

In our fast paced digital culture, we have lost one aspect of communication that I believe is very important. A simple, hand-written note from a friend can be very encouraging. My husband and I have combined our efforts and are making six new note cards available. READ MORE.…

PHOTO JOURNAL

After Its Kind is a 26 page Hardcover book — a collection of photographs Steve and Donna Miller have captured on several outings across Texas — from north Texas to the Texas coast. In sharing these photographs, the Miller’s hope to “focus” the viewer on the beauty, design and mystery of God’s awesome creation, A creation that points us back to the Creator Himself.

Most of the photos in this book were shot by Donna Miller; A few were taken by Donna’s husband, Steve, who sometimes uses her photos as reference for his paintings. (http://www.SteveMillerStudios.com)

Donna Miller has always loved photography, and in recent years, she has spent more time pursing her craft. Donna has won several awards in local art & photography shows and has been juried into some national photography shows.
When ask about her photos, Donna says:

One might say that I stumbled into photography, although I have always loved taking pictures. To be honest, I was very disappointed when my faithful 35 mm stopped working and I was forced to go digital. Now I can’t imagine having to wait to see what I just captured. I love the way the camera captures moments that sometimes go unnoticed.

Working full time makes it very difficult to spend the time I would like studying photography and the many exciting things that can be done with the software that is available today. My journey in this photography adventure has just begun. I plan to pursue studies in all avenues of photography, and to continue to seek that unique moment in time, that once in a lifetime photo.”

Donna’s favorite photo related quote is by photographer Marc Riboud — “Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second.”
